The Launch of the "Take Part" Project in the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Political, Administrative, and Communication Sciences
On October 23, 2023, within the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Political, Administrative, and Communication Sciences (FSPAC), an important moment took place: the launch of the “Take Part – Social Learning to Take Part in Social Movements: Understanding the Social Transformation of Civic Participation” project. This launch was marked by a meeting that brought together department members, the project team, and invited students, and was dedicated to presenting the project, establishing its action directions, and objectives.
The event began with an introduction by the project coordinators, who presented the vision and goals of “Take Part”. Funded through the PNRR program, the project aims to explore and improve ways of civic participation in the context of contemporary social changes.
Discussions focused on the project’s importance in the current context, highlighting the need to better understand social transformations and how they influence civic participation.
A strong point of the meeting was the presentation of progress made so far and the establishment of plans for the next stages. Various logistical and methodological aspects were addressed, as well as ways to involve the academic community and the general public in the project’s activities.
The question and answer session provided an opportunity for a dynamic exchange of ideas and contributed to strengthening a spirit of teamwork and cooperation among project members.
This meeting marks just the beginning of a journey full of challenges and opportunities. We are convinced that the “Take Part” project will play a significant role in understanding and shaping civic participation in the digital era, and we are pleased to be part of this innovative initiative.
